Browsing gay blogs and I came across this… I have to say I 150% totally disagree…
I personally prefer whats commonly referred to as “straight acting men” and I am far from a “self hating” or “homophobic gay” and my existence is this life nothing short of magnificent. Being gay doesn’t necessarily require all men to be flamboyant and feminine and additionally, there are not rules to attraction between two consenting and mature adults. You dont have to be interested in everyone.
The term “Straight Acting” is flawed becuase it plays to a stereotype or premise that all gays are inherently womanly and and feminine in contrast to average masculine heterosexual man. The term would lead one to believe that a “Straight Acting” man in respect to the gay community would be a small minority, when in reality it is, or they are simply a distinguished variety of American Gay Men. “Straight acting” is a label, and while limiting and cliche, it is an efficient description of a whole class of masculine gay men who lead lifestyles presumably similar to the average american heterosexual man.
I think that where confusion comes into play is the misconception that “straight acting” gays are ALWAYS in the closet and too afraid to accept their true feminine selves and instead wish themselves to be straight, thereby “pretending to be straight” or being “straight acting”. This is not always true.
Likewise, there is also an element of jealousy with some Ultra-femmine gays who look at “straight acting” gays with strong envy, becuase straight acting gays dont face the same persecutions and judgements that their more flamboyant counter-parts have to. Straight acting gays can pass for straight and therefore are treated more humanely, where as flamboyant gays are not, so flamboyant gays hate straight acting gays.
Regardless of the motivation there is a strong contempt for “Straight Acting” gays in many environments and to ME that is the TRUE “Self Hate” in the gay community. If you yourself are secure and comfortable with your sexuality, why would you feel the need to attack another gay’s sexuality/preferences? Straight acting gays are gays, no matter what our appearances or personalities reflect, and just because WE PREFER A MAN WHO WALKS, TALKS, AND ACTS LIKE A MAN doesnt mean we are any less gay.
(Infact that is more gay in my opinion, a gay man who is attracted to twinkish, fabulous, girly, little gay men who look like women, is much closer to a straight man then a gay who prefers big, hard, masculine, manly men.)
…Your thoughts on this issue?

lol, I just realized that my stuff is/was all over the internet, at some point one of my videos got more than 1 million views on youtube (posted in 2006, mind you) and a parody I dubbed got around 200k, most of my stuff was well received but I couldn’t take the influx of crazy anymore and ended up deleting my old account.I still want to make videos but I’m figuring out the best way to do it cause this time I want to really put my work out there, and I don’t want the new videos to be comical or consist just of collages…hmm.
i can’t be around humanity for longer than a few hours i’ll drive mad and i’m starting to realize this more and more lately like today in the shop i got such anger attacks i don’t even know where this comes from and what is wrong with me but yeah
